The Ystrad Wood Store provides opportunities for volunteers and community groups to work on their craft skills. A major recycling project, the Wood Store takes in wooden items and timber that would otherwise go to landfill, and uses these as the raw materials.

Volunteers in the Tools Workshop come and give their time every Thursday and Friday, repairing, rehandling and reconditioning donated tools. Some of these go out to East Africa as part of "Tools For Self Reliance".

Other wood goes to produce kindling, which is sold at a competitive price. The Woodstore is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 1 pm

Others are sold to the local community as part of our commitment to recycling.
